Job Description: Assistant Manager – Quality Management

Role Overview

Location: Panadura, Sri Lanka Division: MAS Intimates (Bodywear Value Stream)

The Bodywear Value Stream at MAS Holdings is a global leader in end-to-end design and manufacturing for lingerie, swimwear, and performance wear. With a footprint spanning from Sri Lanka to the USA and manufacturing hubs across Asia and Africa, we partner with iconic brands like Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, and Marks & Spencer.

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager – Quality Management to join MAS Intimates. In this role, you will act as the independent “voice of the customer,” collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all products and processes meet the rigorous quality standards defined by our global brand partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the independent representative for the customer; lead meetings, share product insights, and influence internal teams to ensure strict adherence to technical parameters and audit requirements.

  • Process Innovation: Identify and implement new process improvements and technological solutions to elevate quality management standards within the manufacturing facility.

  • Stakeholder Management: Negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer specifications.

  • Training & Development: Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and technical training for Customer Certified Auditors (CCAs) to keep teams aligned with evolving requirements.

  • Preventative Quality Engineering: Oversee Quality Engineering measures during Pre-Production (PPA) and Manufacturing stages, ensuring cross-functional alignment to meet KPIs.

  • Operational Collaboration: Partner with Value Stream Managers and Industrial Engineers at key integration gates to streamline processes and maintain high-performance standards.

  • Performance Leadership: Work with the Head of Quality Management to monitor team performance, identify skill gaps, and implement development plans to drive operational excellence.

  • Subcontractor Alignment: Collaborate with subcontracted quality teams to ensure customer guidelines are clearly communicated and executed.

  • SOP Development: Utilize consumer insights to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work sheets that error-proof processes and optimize operations.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics.

  • Experience: 4–5 years of professional experience in a similar quality management capacity.

  • Technical Focus: Product-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others.

  • Aptitude: Analytical thinker with a proactive, innovative approach to problem-solving.
