Senior Manager – Card Operations
About the Job
This role is about managing everything related to card operations at the bank. That includes making sure payments go through smoothly, handling ATMs, solving payment issues, preventing fraud, and making sure all records are correct and follow the rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Help create and carry out plans to improve card operations and support the bank’s goals.
- Make sure all card-related processes follow company policies and rules.
- Look at reports and figures to find ways to improve how the team works and save costs.
- Regularly check and improve fraud detection methods.
- Spot risks in new projects early and fix any problems quickly.
- Handle risks and make sure the team is ready for any audits.
- Build a team culture focused on learning and strong performance.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar field.
- Master’s Degree in the same fields is a plus.
- Professional qualifications like CIMA, CIM, ACCA, ICASL, or CFA are also accepted.
Work Experience
- 15+ years of experience in banking operations, especially in retail banking.
- At least 5 years focused on card operations.
Skills Needed
- Good at handling account balances and reconciliation.
- Strong fraud detection and monitoring skills.
- Knowledge of payment systems and how they work.
- Able to manage the full card process from start to finish.
- Uses technology to make work faster and easier.
- Skilled in managing risks and daily operations.
