Join our Team as a Merchandising Manager
Location – Colombo 03, Sri Lanka.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the entire operation from onboarding and finding new business to production and OTIF delivery to strategic sourcing and maintaining a healthy relationship with all business stakeholders.
- Ensure strategic plans and executed in an efficient and effective way to achieve the desired goals and outcome.
- Managing team KPIs and developing talent within the team to ensure career progression and fresh ideas.
- Build strong customer relationships and team with channel partners to build value pipelines and close deals.
- Overlook the planning, budgeting and analyzing data to present sales forecasts and figures for potential ranges.
- Meeting suppliers and managing the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing on timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork/due diligence.
- Drive digitalization and encourage team members to identify and implement processes to improve current systems.
- Extensive knowledge on fabrics and product types like baby wear and adult wear.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the apparel industry, specifically in baby and adult wear. Familiarity with other product types is a plus.
- Experience in both bulk production and product development is essential.
- A relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and effectively manage team stress and workload.
- Strong abilities in stress and workload management are essential for this role.
- Extensive knowledge of global manufacturing and operational capabilities is a valuable asset.
- Outstanding communication skills in English (both written and verbal) are necessary, along with good negotiation and persuasive abilities.
