Job description

Qualifications:

– Should have a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Economics or Statistics.
– **For UAE nationals**, preferably with 6 to 9 years of work experience.
– **For Non-UAE nationals**, preferably 8 to 11 years of work experience.
• *Experience**:

– At least two years in a senior role.
– Experience in Abu Dhabi Government entity as an economist or statistician.
– Experience working with international economics and statistical organizations.

Activities:

– Provide domain-related expertise in economics to Foresights project teams; enable project teams to develop analytics products with focused, relevant content for users.
– Review proposed products at prototype stage.
– Consider user requirements, product content, and product attributes such as frequency of update, views, slices, dashboard functionalities, and other features.
– Validate the product in terms of its reliability, depth, and utility, from an economics perspective.
– Recommend changes to product outputs to ensure that users are provided with reliable, valid, and useful economic foresight and insights.
– Review use cases to identify where and how economic data are to be used or economic foresight and insights are to be presented.
– Review foresight and insights into product designs to ensure that data models and product specifications meet user requirements and required standards for presenting economic information.
– Advise product teams on how data, models, algorithms, and machine learning tools should be configured to present robust economic foresight and insights.
– Test data models and foresight and insights products to ensure that use case and design objectives are met.
– Contribute content to products: provide interpretation and commentary on the data being presented in products; enable users to derive greater value from products by guiding their understanding.
– Comply with the company’s policies and procedures, Example but not limited to HSE policy & procedures.
