Key Responsibilities

• Understand and assess project details and specific site conditions.

• Estimate drafting time for various steelwork components.

• Perform initial manual take-offs based on preliminary project information.

• Conduct site surveys of civil and existing works for accurate modeling.

• Develop steelwork 3D models using Revit or Tekla Structures.

• Prepare layouts and shop drawings from 3D models in AutoCAD 2D.

• Coordinate steelwork activities with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Generate fabrication and installation documents from 3D/2D models.

• Produce final quantities take-off from updated 3D models.

• Provide efficient solutions for modifications minimizing time and cost impacts.

• Ensure adherence to quality guidelines and processes.

• Assess claims and variation orders as required.

• Comply with occupational health, safety, security, environment, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in steelworks detailing, with expertise in 3D/2D drafting.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla Structures.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word.

• Knowledge of material flow systems in airports (e.g., baggage and cargo handling) is advantageous.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Organized, methodical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.

• Team-oriented, flexible, and capable of training others while sharing knowledge.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
