The Senior Specialist, Project Planning and Cost Control II plays a critical role in managing the overall MWSPC CAPEX project schedule and cost performance. This position supports successful project delivery through robust planning, cost control, analysis, and clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
Job Purpose
To manage and control the overall MWSPC CAPEX project schedule and costs across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between planning, execution, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities

Monitor and control the overall MWSPC CAPEX project schedules to ensure timely execution.

Review baseline schedules to confirm they are comprehensive, contractually compliant, and realistic.

Assess monthly schedule updates, identifying delays and evaluating their impact on projects under execution.

Review, evaluate, and provide recommendations on contractor-submitted recovery plans when required.

Prepare detailed monthly schedule progress reports, trend analyses, and scheduling dashboards.

Ensure full alignment between project schedule data and cost information.

Develop and maintain project control procedures, templates, and standard reporting formats.

Prepare annual CAPEX planned cash flow and regularly update planned, actual, and forecasted figures in coordination with stakeholders and the accounting team.

Control and monitor overall MWSPC project costs throughout all project phases.

Deliver weekly or monthly detailed cost reports and performance updates as required.

Review additional budget requests, propose viable options, and draft approval documentation.

Present schedule and cost analysis findings clearly and effectively to senior management.

Develop and maintain project risk registers related to schedule and expenditure, including monthly updates.

Apply advanced critical path analysis and scheduling methodologies.

Provide regular schedule and cost highlights, including mitigation alternatives for any variances.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.

Demonstrated experience in project controls, scheduling, and cost management.

Strong analytical thinking with the confidence to challenge assumptions objectively.
Minimum Experience

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project planning and cost control.
