The Voyage Global Leadership Development Program

Voyage is Marriott International’s flagship leadership development experience designed to shape the next generation of hospitality leaders. This full-time, paid program invites recent university graduates to begin a structured career journey that combines mentorship, real-world exposure, and professional growth. As a Voyage associate, you will apply your academic knowledge through hands-on assignments while building a strong foundation for long-term leadership success.

About the Journey

Voyage is an award-winning, high-impact development program that blends practical, discipline-focused training with a leadership-centered curriculum. Rather than a classroom setting, the program is delivered within a Marriott International–managed hotel environment and is offered in more than 50 countries worldwide. Participants can pursue Voyage opportunities across the following disciplines:

• Accounting & Finance

• Culinary

• Engineering

• Event Operations

• Event Planning

• Food & Beverage Operations

• Human Resources

• Revenue Management

• Rooms Operations

• Sales & Marketing

Voyage participants benefit from direct access to Marriott’s senior leaders, mentors, and coaches. The program includes mini-rotations across multiple hotel functions, allowing you to gain a broad operational perspective and collaborate with both current and former Voyage associates through global networking platforms. Each Voyage journey is personalized and typically spans 12–18 months, depending on your interests, career goals, and location. From day one, you will be immersed in Marriott’s culture and global brand portfolio, learning how the company sets industry standards.

The Experience You’ll Gain

Voyage is built on experiential learning, where development happens through active participation in daily hotel operations. As a program participant, you will:

• Build and strengthen guest and customer relationships

• Support innovation and contribute fresh ideas within the organization

• Gain exposure to project management and people leadership

• Enhance operational processes and present new initiatives through a dedicated Voyage project

• Lead and contribute to special assignments that leverage your training and skills

Destination: Marriott Leadership

Throughout the program, you will take part in management meetings and collaborate with Voyage participants around the world. You will be encouraged to analyze challenges, propose solutions, and share innovative perspectives. Participants also have the opportunity to provide feedback on the program curriculum, helping shape the experience for future Voyage cohorts. Upon successful completion, many graduates are well-positioned to move directly into supervisory or entry-level management roles within Marriott International.

Ready to Embark?

To qualify for the Voyage Program, candidates must have graduated from a university or hotel school within the past year. Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education (Associate’s degree accepted for Culinary roles)

• Strong critical-thinking and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively and build positive working relationships

• Self-motivation with the ability to manage responsibilities independently

• A genuine commitment to personal and professional development

• Legal authorization to work in the country of application

Applicants currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date within 12 months of applying may also be considered.
