Role Overview

The Program Director will lead a large portfolio of power and water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi under a PMC framework. This senior role is responsible for end-to-end programme oversight, strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and control the overall planning, execution, and completion of the programme.

• Coordinate closely with clients, supervision consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and alignment.

• Develop, review, and manage programme schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.

• Provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary teams, promoting safety, quality, and performance excellence.

• Track programme progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule, cost, or scope variances.

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports covering progress, risks, commercial status, and mitigation plans.

• Establish and maintain effective risk management and governance frameworks.

• Work with technical teams to ensure constructability, engineering compliance, and adherence to industry standards.

• Mentor and guide senior project staff, supporting capability building and knowledge transfer.

• Build and sustain productive relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 20 years of experience in major projects, with a focus on large-scale power and water transmission programmes.

• Demonstrated PMC experience in a comparable leadership role.

Technical Skills

• Strong command of project and programme management methodologies.

• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles related to power and water transmission.

• Knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Expertise in scheduling, cost control, and resource management.

Soft Skills & Competencies

• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Sound judgment with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

• Ability to manage complex programmes under pressure and tight deadlines.

• Proactive approach to risk management and issue resolution.
