Are you a precision-driven engineer who sees the profit hidden within the raw materials? We are seeking a Production Engineer specializing in Material Costing to join our Colombo operations. This isn’t just a floor-management role; it’s a strategic position where technical expertise meets financial intelligence.

Your Mission

You will bridge the gap between design and delivery by optimizing every cent spent on production inputs. You’ll be responsible for analyzing material utilization, identifying waste patterns, and implementing lean methodologies to drive down the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: Conduct rigorous variance analysis between theoretical and actual material usage.

• Process Optimization: Lead “Value Engineering” initiatives to streamline production without compromising quality.

• Supplier Liaison: Technical evaluation of raw materials to support procurement in high-stakes negotiations.

• Data Governance: Maintain precise Bills of Materials (BOM) and provide accurate cost forecasting for new product launches.

Who You Are

You hold a degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering and possess a “detective’s mindset” for spotting inefficiencies. If you thrive on turning technical data into bottom-line results in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
