Job Summary:
Abbott is seeking a highly skilled Medical Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of medical plans for our Biosimilars portfolio across MEAP, Turkey, and CIS. This role will combine deep scientific expertise with strong external engagement to shape clinical practice, support product adoption, and ensure the highest standards of medical and scientific integrity throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with global, regional, and affiliate teams to maximize the impact of Abbott’s biologic solutions and strengthen our position as a trusted healthcare partner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Medical Planning: Develop and implement regional medical strategies, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving market needs.

  • External Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, medical societies, and patient advocacy groups; lead advisory boards and consensus initiatives.

  • Evidence Generation: Identify evidence gaps, support clinical research programs, manage Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), and oversee publication of study results.

  • Affiliate Support: Provide guidance to affiliates during pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases; conduct medical training sessions for internal stakeholders.

  • Brand Differentiation: Deliver actionable insights to commercial teams and tailor global positioning strategies for regional markets.

  • Medico-Marketing Programs: Execute medical education initiatives, expert meetings, Patient Support Programs (PSP), and Non-Promotional Programs (NPP).

  • Medical Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all medical activities.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, ideally with specialization in Oncology.

  • Master’s degree or postgraduate studies in Oncology and/or Immunology preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in immunology and/or oncology therapeutic areas at a regional or above-country level.

  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape across the MEAP, Turkey & CIS region.

  • Experience in launching biologic molecules and leading clinical research programs.

  • Familiarity with comparative analytical studies and evidence generation processes.

  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across global, regional, and affiliate teams.
