About the Role

Egis is looking for a seasoned Material QA/QC Engineer with hands-on site supervision experience to join our Kuwait team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the quality and compliance of construction materials while overseeing on-site QA/QC operations. You will work closely with project teams to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans for construction materials and processes.

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications and quality standards.

• Perform material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Supervise and coordinate all QA/QC activities on construction sites.

• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues promptly.

• Prepare, maintain, and submit detailed QA/QC reports and documentation.

• Mentor and train junior QA/QC staff in proper testing procedures and quality practices.

• Ensure full compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

• Participate in project meetings and provide timely updates on quality assurance progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in materials engineering and QA/QC roles, with strong exposure to construction projects.

• Proven site supervision or construction management experience.

• Extensive knowledge of material testing methods, QA/QC procedures, and quality management systems.

• Proficient in QA/QC software and documentation processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Professional certifications in QA/QC or materials testing are a plus.

• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and site safety protocols.

• Willingness to work on-site under various weather conditions and travel as required.
