Job Summary:
The Market Access & Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping global portfolio strategies and guiding the value proposition of leading pharmaceutical brands. This position ensures cross-functional alignment across departments, providing insights into market access, pricing, and healthcare system dynamics to support both portfolio expansion and global product launches. The role also contributes to developing global market access strategies and coordinates with pricing teams to define guidance for international and multi-country brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Expansion

Provide global market access input to support portfolio decisions at the Innovation Board.

Evaluate product value through analysis of:

Unmet medical needs and payer attractiveness.
-
Differentiation against competing therapies.
-
Market access dynamics and potential willingness-to-pay scenarios.

Deliver actionable insights including:
-
Formulary listing conditions.
-
Pricing assumptions (net selling price, WAC, end-customer pricing) and risk documentation.

Revenue timing projections aligned with country-specific pricing and reimbursement timelines.
-
Guidance on evidence generation and customer research needs.

Global Product Launch
-
Collaborate with directors to develop global market access and pricing strategies.

Oversee HEOR evidence generation to support reimbursement and value capture.
-
Define global pricing guidance and prepare collateral for country teams.

Monitor and update pricing and revenue assumptions, escalating issues as needed.

Train NPI teams on market access monitoring and escalation protocols.
Additional Responsibilities

Support strategic initiatives, including launch toolkits and portfolio strategy development.

Contribute to the growth of country-level market access organizations.

Enhance data analytics tools (e.g., DART) for better decision-making.

Maintain and audit country system information.

Educate global EPD teams on emerging market access and pricing trends.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
6+ years in pharmaceutical market access & pricing consulting or 7+ years in innovative pharma roles (market access, BD, marketing, or medical).

Strong expertise in payer relations, pricing strategy, health economics, and healthcare policy.

Demonstrated success in market access, strategic planning, and portfolio evaluation.
-
Experience across diverse market archetypes, from reimbursed systems to cash-pay models.

Deep knowledge of biologics/biosimilars access, HEOR, pricing, and tender/institutional markets.
-
Ability to translate global strategy into local execution.

Experience in matrix organizations and emerging markets (BRIC, SE Asia, LATAM, MENA).

Strategic consultancy experience preferred.

Proven track record in cross-country pricing alignment, approvals, and biologics/biosimilars launches.
