Job Summary:
Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and application of advanced analytical and machine learning models that optimize revenue management strategies. This role focuses on driving innovation in pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory control, ensuring Etihad remains at the forefront of operational research (OR) and revenue optimization within the airline industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to innovate in demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, and offer optimization.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI/ML, reinforcement learning, and cloud-based optimization, into RM solutions.

• Monitor industry trends such as continuous pricing, retailing, and offer/order transformation to inform strategic decisions.

• Lead the design, enhancement, and implementation of optimization models for seat inventory control, bid-price strategies, and network optimization.

• Drive initiatives in customer segmentation, ancillary revenue optimization, and predictive demand modeling.

• Conduct R&D pilots and scale successful concepts into enterprise-level solutions.

• Collaborate with IT and Analytics teams to embed OR models into production systems and reporting tools.

• Ensure deployed models are scalable, robust, and explainable.

• Oversee proof-of-concept pilots and ensure smooth transition into operational use.

• Partner with RM analysts, pricing, scheduling, network planning, and digital teams to align solutions with business needs.

• Work with innovation labs, universities, and research partners to stay current on academic and industry developments.

• Establish KPIs to track model performance, forecast accuracy, and business impact.

• Continuously refine models based on feedback and market changes.

• Represent Etihad at industry forums to share insights on RM and commercial trends.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Management Science.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations research, optimization model design, and scaling R&D concepts to enterprise solutions.

• Strong knowledge of advanced analytical techniques, revenue management principles, and OR methods.

• Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
