Job Description: Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Line/Base/Cabin)

The SriLankan team is looking for dynamic, experienced individuals to join us as Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAE).

In this role, you will be responsible for performing Base and Line Maintenance checks on company and customer aircraft. You will ensure that the technical dispatch of our A320 CEO, A320/A321 NEO, and A330 fleets complies with Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) regulations, company policies, and approved quality standards to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Compliance: Execute aircraft maintenance and servicing for SriLankan and third-party carriers using approved methods, tools, and parts. Ensure all activities meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards, and actively participate in audit preparations.

• Operational Efficiency: Prioritize tasks and manage manpower effectively to meet work targets within specified ground times. Provide accurate reports on potential AOG (Aircraft on Ground) defects during transits and turnarounds to assist leadership in making informed operational decisions.

• Turnaround Management: Ensure scheduled Turnaround Times (TAT) are consistently met and fulfill training requirements to support organizational sustainability.

• Team Supervision: Delegate tasks to Qualifying Mechanics, Inspectors, and Technicians. Provide guidance and monitor progress to ensure productivity and timely completion of maintenance inputs.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance, including at least 1 year as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

• Licensing: Must hold an AML B1.1 or B2 License with active full-type approval on one or more of the following: A330 (Trent 700), A320 (V2500; CFM56-5B), or A320 NEO (Leap-1A).

• Citizenship: Must be a Sri Lankan Citizen.

• Age: Maximum age of 55 years as of the application date.

Note: Grading will be determined based on your total years of experience as an LAE and the number of aircraft type approvals held.
