Software Quality Assurance Lead

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for planning and managing the end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) lifecycle. By applying robust testing methodologies, you will ensure continuous process improvement and high-quality software delivery across all development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning & Strategy: Define and plan comprehensive test suites—including Unit, Integration, Migration, Load, and Smoke testing—to ensure systems align with design specifications.

  • Execution & Analysis: Analyze technical requirements to draft, execute, and maintain detailed test cases that optimize project resources and ensure maximum coverage.

  • System Integrity: Manage functional and system integrated testing for customer care and billing systems, ensuring high integrity under tight deadlines.

  • Defect Management: Lead the identification, tracking, and reporting of defects, ensuring user requirements are accurately implemented.

  • Automation & Environment: Create automated test scripts to enhance efficiency and manage the setup and maintenance of development/QA test environments.

  • Deployment Support: Oversee pre-production deployment and source control verification, collaborating with the DBA team during release cycles.

  • Leadership & Communication: Direct a team of QA Engineers toward divisional goals and provide regular, consolidated test status updates to stakeholders.

  • Process Improvement: Administer Quality Center tools, maintain the divisional knowledge base, and verify deployment processes to prevent system inefficiencies.

The Person

  • Education: BSc in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.

  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Software QA/QC.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in test automation, environment management, and defect tracking tools (e.g., Quality Center).

  • Soft Skills: Proven leadership capabilities with excellent communication and project management skills.
