Lead Engineer: Access Network Operations

Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our Access Network Operations team. In this role, you will strategically plan and execute maintenance strategies to ensure the high-quality, uninterrupted performance of our Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio. You will lead network rollouts and drive service excellence by overseeing technical analysis, solution design, and the deployment of advanced radio platforms and monitoring systems.

Your focus will include optimizing network availability, forecasting tool requirements, and implementing best-in-class processes for sustainable growth. You will be a key driver of network quality KPIs, automation, and future technology adoption, ensuring all operations align with Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident Management: Manage service requests and incidents across 2G, 4G, 5G, Fixed Broadband (FBB), P2P, P2MP, and legacy systems.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex network issues within SLA and analyze incident trends to identify and mitigate recurring limitations.

  • Operational Integration: Lead the integration of new solutions with monitoring systems and maintenance procedures across all technical domains.

  • Strategy & Deployment: Operationalize implementation strategies for new features and services, including the preparation of rigorous testing and verification procedures.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain system manuals and troubleshooting guidelines. Lead training programs to enhance the technical competency of the operations team.

  • Data Intelligence: Develop algorithms and data analysis methodologies to transform raw network data into actionable business insights and performance reports.

Entry Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) degree in Engineering (IESL accredited) or equivalent.

  • Experience: 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in telecommunications.

  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of mobile/fixed broadband systems, IP networking, server systems, data analytics, and AI.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
