Lead – Cyber Defense Engineer

Role Overview

Join our team to lead and elevate our threat hunting capabilities, with a specialized focus on securing critical telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for proactively identifying risks and maintaining a world-class security posture.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute advanced threat hunting strategies to detect and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats.

• Threat Analysis: Analyze TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) to validate threats and simulate external attacks.

• Operational Excellence: Operationalize security solutions from design to deployment, ensuring alignment with industry standards.

• Vulnerability Management: Conduct periodic posture assessments; identify, communicate, and oversee the remediation of vulnerabilities.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead the threat management team, directing cyber threat intelligence activities and mentoring junior analysts.

• Governance & Reporting: Develop KRIs/KPIs for threat hunting teams and provide regular strategic updates to senior management.

• Architecture & Innovation: Validate security designs, recommend hardware/software enhancements, and deploy countermeasures for emerging threats.

• Compliance & Records: Maintain detailed documentation for compliance and enforce security standards across datacenters.

• Project & Stakeholder Management: Manage security projects with external vendors and build strong cross-functional relationships to improve security processes.

Entry Requirements

• Experience: 4–7 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or threat management.

• Technical Expertise: Proven track record in network risk assessments, penetration testing, and threat intelligence.

• Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and a strong familiarity with Telco signaling security.

• Education: BSc or MSc in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, or Engineering.

• Certifications: CEH, GSEC, CHFI, or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
