Role Overview

This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations of the laundry and uniform room, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and service quality while supporting and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the laundry and uniform room sections

• Inspect guest laundry and dry-cleaning work to ensure consistent quality standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all laundry areas and equipment

• Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of machinery and facilities

• Oversee staff appearance, conduct, and professionalism during operations

• Identify and eliminate workplace hazards while enforcing safety and fire regulations

• Ensure correct washing formulas, methods, and procedures are followed

• Conduct regular staff performance appraisals and provide feedback

• Rotate team members across sections to ensure operational coverage

• Train new employees and provide continuous on-the-job training

• Step in to perform operational duties during staff shortages or peak periods

• Prepare daily production reports and support monthly reporting requirements

• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of laundry chemicals

• Reassign personnel between sections as operational needs require

• Handle telephone calls professionally with a guest-focused approach

• Respond effectively to hotel emergencies and safety situations

• Accurately post laundry charges using the Micros system

• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor
