Junior Software Engineer in Test

Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer in Test to join our quality assurance team. In this position, you will work alongside developers and product managers to ensure our features meet the highest standards of reliability. With direct mentorship from our senior engineering staff, you will perform hands-on testing and begin building your expertise in test automation, playing a vital role in our quality-driven development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases, including writing simple automated test scripts with support

• Actively engage in test planning activities

• Use bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) to report and track defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues

• Understand and perform different types of testing, including system, end-to-end, UI, API, functional, and non-functional testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Foundational programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Java, or C# for writing simple test scripts.

• Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management tools.

• Fundamentals of databases and SQL.

• Understanding of basic test planning and documentation practices.

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with developers to identify and resolve defects
