Key Responsibilities

Front of House & Customer Experience

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.

  • Act as a representative of WECare to the public, embodying the organisation’s values and mission in every interaction.

  • Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues promptly and maintain guest satisfaction.

  • Address guest questions or concerns courteously and efficiently.

  • Encourage team members to stay engaged and passionate about the cause while delivering top-notch service.

Café, Retail & Merchandise Support

  • Support point-of-sale processes and basic cash handling in line with procedures

  • Support day-to-day café service, including assisting with barista and service duties during busy periods

  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of café and retail areas

  • Assist with merchandise and retail sales, including product knowledge, display, and basic upselling

Operational & Team Support

  • Support café events, promotions, and special initiatives as required

  • Follow WECare policies, health & safety standards, and customer care guidelines

  • Assist with opening and closing tasks as delegated by the Café Manager or Supervisor

  • Work collaboratively with the café and wider WECare team.

  • Support basic stock checks and flag low stock or issues to the relevant team member.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Sales, Customer Relationship Management, and Client Outreach

  • Proficiency in Communication, Negotiation, and Presentation skills

  • Strong Organizational and Time Management abilities

  • Experience in Fundraising, Marketing, or Community Engagement is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic on-site environment

  • Demonstrated passion for animal welfare and community-centric initiatives
