About the Role

Egis is looking for an experienced and detail-focused HSE Engineer to support site supervision activities in Kuwait. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible construction environment across all project sites.

Role Summary:
You will lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives on-site, ensuring that all construction activities meet required standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE management systems and site procedures

• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to identify risks and ensure regulatory compliance

• Perform risk assessments and prepare effective mitigation plans for construction activities

• Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee corrective and preventive actions

• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and ongoing guidance to site teams and contractors

• Track, monitor, and report key HSE performance metrics

• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to embed HSE requirements into project planning and execution

• Ensure adherence to all local, regional, and international HSE standards

• Prepare, maintain, and test emergency response and evacuation plans

• Keep up to date with industry best practices, legislation, and emerging HSE trends

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline

• At least 8 years of experience in HSE site supervision within construction projects

• Professional certifications such as CSP or NEBOSH

• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, health and safety legislation, and environmental compliance

• Proven experience in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations

• Familiarity with HSE management systems and reporting tools

• Experience in environmental management systems and industrial hygiene practices
