Role SummaryThe Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in the restaurant, responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with service staff to deliver seamless and memorable dining experiences. The position requires excellent communication skills, a professional appearance, and a warm, engaging personality.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.Manage reservations, table assignments, and waiting lists efficiently using restaurant systems.Maintain a tidy and organized reception and waiting area at all times.Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.Provide guests with information about menu items, promotions, and special events.Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to enhance satisfaction.Assist in organizing and managing special events or VIP bookings.Promote hotel and restaurant offerings to increase guest engagement and revenue.Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and health standards.Keep up-to-date with local attractions, dining trends, and cultural activities to assist guests.Record guest preferences and feedback for future visits.Support colleagues and other departments when necessary to maintain smooth operations. Previous experience as a hostess, concierge, or guest service professional in a luxury restaurant or hotel.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.Professional appearance and confident demeanor.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Friendly, positive, and approachable personality with a passion for guest service.Ability to handle busy service hours and high-pressure situations gracefully.Knowledge of local attractions, culture, and dining options in Dubai.Basic computer skills for handling reservations and guest data.Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays.Familiarity with dining etiquette and food & beverage service standards preferred.
