Position Summary

As a Utility Cleaner at JW Marriott, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of multiple hotel departments, including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry. This role involves ensuring clean linens, spotless dining ware, and well-maintained cleaning equipment are always ready for use. You will assist with the transport of dishware and linens throughout the hotel, helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Your work will contribute directly to creating a safe, welcoming, and exceptional guest experience.

Success in this position requires attention to safety, adherence to company policies, commitment to quality, and professional communication and appearance. You will work closely with colleagues across departments, supporting team goals while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and laundry washers/dryers.

• Prepare clean linens, dining ware, and other items for guest use.

• Transport dishware, linens, and other materials across hotel departments as needed.

• Adhere to Marriott’s quality standards and workplace safety policies.

• Assist team members in achieving shared objectives and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships.

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager promptly.

• Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects up to 50 pounds, and bending, reaching, or stooping as required.

• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: No high school diploma or GED required.

• Experience: No prior experience necessary.

• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
