Role Overview
As Head of Strategy, Corporate Development and Transformation – Middle East, you will lead the strategic direction and long-term growth agenda for Bupa Global across the region. This senior leadership role focuses on shaping strategy, delivering transformation, and identifying new growth opportunities in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will work closely with regional and global leadership to ensure sustainable performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Middle East strategic plan in alignment with Bupa Global’s overall vision and priorities.

  • Partner with senior leaders to drive profitable, sustainable growth across regional markets.

  • Lead corporate development activities, including market entry assessments, strategic partnerships, and alliances.

  • Oversee complex transformation programmes and act as PMO for high-impact, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate inorganic growth opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

  • Champion innovation in healthcare delivery models and digital capabilities.

  • Monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments, and performance data to support informed decision-making.

  • Manage budgets and ensure accountability for agreed financial and operational outcomes.

  • Serve as a key communication link between Bupa Global and Middle East leadership teams.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Extensive experience in strategy and corporate development, including M&A, ideally within health insurance or a related sector.

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability with a proven ability to translate insights into executable plans.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive and board level.

  • Experience leading and collaborating with geographically dispersed, multicultural teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid understanding of the health insurance landscape and broader healthcare ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated success delivering results across international markets.

  • Leadership style that motivates teams and drives change effectively.
