– conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students: as a career counselor, you will be responsible for meeting with students individually to discuss their career goals, interests, and academic achievements to help them make informed decisions about their future.- administer career assessments and interpret results: utilize various career assessment tools to help students identify their strengths, weaknesses, and interests, and guide them towards suitable career paths based on the assessment results.- provide information on educational and career opportunities: stay updated on the latest educational programs, certifications, and job opportunities to provide students with accurate and relevant information to help them make informed decisions about their future.- develop individualized career plans: work with students to create personalized career plans that outline short-term and long-term goals, as well as steps they need to take to achieve them.- assist students with resume writing and interview preparation: offer guidance to students on writing effective resumes, cover letters, and preparing for job interviews to help them secure employment opportunities.required skills and expectations:- excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and provide guidance.- strong listening skills to understand students’ concerns and aspirations.- knowledge of various career assessment tools and techniques.- ability to stay updated on educational and job market trends.- patience and empathy to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
