We are seeking a skilled Electronic Specialist to join our diverse, multicultural team at Kuwait Steel. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and optimal performance of electronic systems critical to steel manufacturing. You will handle day-to-day shift activities, conduct inspections, perform repairs, and participate in both planned and unplanned shutdowns while contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in steel production, including sensors, measurement instruments, control panels, communication devices, and automation systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic malfunctions using specialized tools, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.

Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep electronic equipment operating at peak efficiency.

Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic specifications to accurately understand system layouts and components.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and component replacements.

Uphold HSE & Quality standards:

Follow Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System, and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001).

Implement Health, Safety, and Environment plans in compliance with company, country, and legal regulations.

Contribute to achieving and maintaining company HS&E objectives, safeguarding both personnel and operations.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience with electronic systems, automation, PLC programming, and control theory, preferably within Rolling Mills.

Hands-on experience with measurement instruments, sensors, and control systems common in the steel industry.
Skills:
-
Strong proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment and systems.

Knowledge of SCADA systems, HMI design, and data analysis tools.

Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical team members.
