Position Summary

This role oversees and coordinates daily operations to ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety standards. The position provides guidance on correct food handling practices and delivers food hygiene training to new employees and trainees. It focuses on identifying potential risks across food operations, implementing preventive corrective actions, and offering technical support on product labeling to meet government regulations. The role also supports management with staff recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise food operations to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.

  • Provide ongoing advice and training on proper food handling practices for employees and trainees.

  • Identify high-risk areas within food operations and take proactive steps to reduce potential issues.

  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements by advising on product labeling and documentation.

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and coaching team members.

  • Follow all company safety, security, and operational policies and procedures.

  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management promptly.

  • Maintain professional personal appearance and ensure uniform standards are met.

  • Safeguard confidential information and protect company assets.

  • Respond professionally to guest needs and communicate clearly with colleagues.

  • Build positive working relationships and contribute to achieving shared team objectives.

  • Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and service expectations.

  • Perform physical tasks including standing or walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving items up to 25 pounds.

  • Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Health or Culinary studies.

  • Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a related role.

  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

  • License/Certification: Not required.
