Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day pastry kitchen operations and step in for team members when required.

Coordinate and guide cooks and kitchen staff involved in pastry and food preparation.

Lead by example using strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Foster teamwork, trust, and cooperation across the culinary team.

Supervise preparation shifts and ensure smooth kitchen workflow.

Prepare and produce pastry items according to established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.

Contribute creative ideas and new concepts for pastry menus and offerings.

Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature control at all times.

Maintain high standards for product quality, flavor, and visual presentation.

Support the Executive Chef with pastry-related menu development.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Monitor raw and cooked food quality to ensure compliance with brand standards.

Assist with decorative displays and food presentation for daily service and special events.

Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
Guest Service & Quality Standards

Deliver service behaviors that exceed guest expectations on a daily basis.

Act as a positive role model for guest interaction and professional conduct.

Address guest feedback, concerns, and complaints efficiently and courteously.

Engage with guests to gather insights on product quality and service levels.
Culinary & Operational Goals

Support culinary performance, budget, and team objectives related to pastry operations.

Help prioritize and organize daily kitchen tasks to meet service demands.

Assist with portion control, waste reduction, and cost management.

Manage inventory levels and coordinate purchasing in line with budget guidelines.
Additional Duties

Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues through verbal and written channels.

Analyze operational challenges and contribute practical solutions to improve efficiency.

Maintain accurate food logs, monitor production levels, and report excess items for daily specials.

Coordinate with Food & Beverage service teams regarding menu specials and item availability.
Role Overview
This position involves preparing special meals, regulating cooking equipment temperatures, managing food thawing and storage, ensuring correct portions and garnishing, and maintaining consistent food quality. The role requires close coordination during peak periods and a strong focus on recipes, presentation standards, and food safety procedures.
