About the Role
Egis is looking for an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to support a major port development project in Kuwait. This role involves assisting the Resident Engineer in managing and supervising construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered in line with technical, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Support daily project management activities to ensure compliance with approved schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks

Carry out routine site inspections and track construction progress against plans

Work closely with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and maintain compliance

Assist with coordination and communication with local authorities and regulatory agencies

Attend project meetings and provide input into technical and operational decisions

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

Contribute to quality control and quality assurance processes throughout all project stages

Identify project risks, prepare reports, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

At least 12 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to port or marine construction projects

Solid understanding of project and construction management practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project and Excel

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Excellent planning, organization, and time management abilities

Clear communication and effective interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams

Willingness to relocate to Kuwait for the project duration
