Role Summary
The Fairmont Gold Manager leads and oversees all aspects of the “hotel within a hotel,” ensuring Fairmont Gold Standards are consistently delivered in both rooms and food & beverage operations. This role focuses on providing personalized guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting a motivated, professional team.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all Fairmont Gold operations, including rooms and food & beverage, ensuring adherence to brand standards.

Manage, supervise, and support Fairmont Gold Lounge Servers and Supervisors to deliver professional, friendly, and engaging service.

Actively participate in guest recognition programs, understanding and anticipating guest preferences to provide highly personalized service.

Serve as a personal liaison for guests, taking ownership of requests and ensuring VIP and special attention reservations are properly arranged.

Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, maintaining logs and coordinating corrective actions as needed.

Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, lounges, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with standards.

Support pre-arrival preparations, front desk, concierge, and lounge operations as required.

Monitor VIP and special request reservations, ensuring proper registration, room assignments, and interdepartmental communication.

Oversee Fairmont Gold room inventory and housekeeping status, coordinating with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Reservations/Revenue Management.

Ensure quality of décor, room products, and food & beverage experiences.

Monitor associates’ uniforms and departmental areas for professionalism and cleanliness, providing feedback and guidance.

Provide tools, training, and performance feedback to staff; manage schedules, payroll, and time-off requests.

Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Supervisors and Lounge Servers.

Track occupancy levels, forecast staffing needs, and manage productivity in line with fluctuating hotel occupancy.

Maximize revenue opportunities, monitor upselling, and manage Honour Bar inventory.

Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan Fairmont Gold Lounge menus, manage food costs, and ensure high presentation standards.

Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance, upholding hotel grooming standards.
Skills & Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in guest relations or luxury hospitality required.

Strong knowledge of luxury-level service, with training experience considered an asset.

Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Proficient with Property Management Systems; Opera PMS experience preferred.

Familiarity with Le Club Accor, Royal Service, Kipsu, LQA, WebWorks, and Time & Attendance is a plus.

Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.

Excellent command of English.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver exceptional personalized experiences.
