We are looking for energetic, self-motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as Head of Physics with immediate effect.
Core Purpose
To provide professional leadership and management, to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and achieve excellent standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Physics within the Senior School, including managing a team of Physics teachers.
- Develop the curriculum and schemes of work, in liaison with the Deputy Head (Academic), to meet student needs and bring about effective outcomes.
- Assist with the development of innovative, creative approaches to teaching and learning across the subject area, whilst helping staff to support students in fostering their love of Physics.
- Ensure effective assessment within Physics, designed to help students to make progress.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training within the Physics Department.
- Liaise with colleagues to identify and co-ordinate pupil support and intervention strategies.
