Deliance (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our growing team in Kurunegala. The Role & Responsibilities
As an Account Executive at Deliance, you will be entrusted with ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the company’s financial operations. This position requires both technical expertise and a keen eye for detail. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily and Monthly Accounting
- Bank Reconciliation: Maintain accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements to identify discrepancies, ensure smooth cash flow, and provide management with reliable financial records.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and analyze cash flow statements to support informed decision-making and maintain liquidity for operational needs.
- Monthly Accounts: Generate and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Financial Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions into QuickBooks Online and Excel, keeping accounts updated in real time.
- Variance Analysis: Compare budgeted versus actual performance and provide insights that can guide cost-saving measures and business strategies.
- Report Preparation: Develop comprehensive financial reports that allow management to make strategic decisions with confidence.
Compliance and Coordination
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, including tax filings and financial audits.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in other departments to provide financial insights, clarify budgetary allocations, and support business goals.
- External Coordination: Liaise with auditors, banks, and vendors to maintain smooth financial relationships and ensure the company’s credibility in the market.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong academic background in accounting and finance, supported by professional qualifications and relevant experience.
- Educational/Professional Qualifications:
- Completion of AAT or CA Sri Lanka (Intermediate level) is required.
- Additional certifications or ongoing professional development in accounting or finance will be considered an advantage.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as an Accounts Executive or Assistant Accountant, with proven exposure to both financial and management accounting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, IF statements, and Pivot Tables, to analyze and present financial data effectively.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software to manage transactions and generate accurate reports.
