The Role & Responsibilities

As Executive, Leasing – Mall, you will report directly to the Manager, Leasing, and work collaboratively with a dynamic team to support leasing activities within the retail spaces of Cinnamon Life. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a strong retail mix that meets evolving market demands while delivering exceptional value to tenants and visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

Tenant Sourcing and Relationship Management

  • Assist in identifying, approaching, and securing high-potential retail tenants that align with the mall’s positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing tenants and prospective partners, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the company and tenants, helping to resolve concerns and foster long-term partnerships.

Lease Administration and Compliance

  • Support the preparation and execution of lease agreements, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and updated leasing documentation, databases, and reports for smooth operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure timely completion of all contract-related matters.

Market Analysis and Competitor Research

  • Conduct regular research into competitor malls and retail trends, providing insights to refine tenant strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and presentations that highlight the unique advantages of Cinnamon Life as a premier retail location.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and property management teams to ensure leasing strategies are well-aligned with overall business goals.
  • Support events and promotions that enhance footfall, boost tenant visibility, and strengthen the property’s positioning as a lifestyle hub.

Tenant Performance Monitoring

  • Assist in tracking tenant performance to ensure the retail mix remains vibrant and profitable.
  • Provide recommendations on renewals, replacements, or expansions based on market intelligence and tenant feedback.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to the role, coupled with a passion for retail development and property management.

  • Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Business Management, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field. This academic grounding ensures a solid understanding of commercial leasing principles.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in leasing, property management, or sales within retail, real estate, or hospitality. Prior exposure to tenant negotiations or mall management will be highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, paired with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Technical Competence: Proficiency in MS Office tools and database management systems, along with the ability to analyze market data and prepare reports.
