The Role & Responsibilities

As the International Student Advisor (Assistant Manager – Study Abroad Admissions), you will act as the bridge between students and their aspirations to pursue higher education abroad. Your role is not only administrative but also deeply student-focused, requiring empathy, patience, and strong organizational skills.

Key responsibilities include:

Guiding Students through Admissions and Visa Processes

You will provide end-to-end assistance to students navigating international admissions, ensuring that they understand requirements, deadlines, and procedures. This involves helping with applications, supporting documentation, and preparing them for visa interviews.

Advising on Academic Pathways and Career Opportunities

Students often struggle to choose programs that align with their long-term goals. You will counsel them on suitable academic pathways, university selection, and career prospects, enabling informed decision-making for their future.

Providing Counseling and Student Support

Your role extends beyond admissions. You will support students during their transition, helping them integrate into both Warlton’s campus culture and the broader global education community. Emotional and academic support will be key to ensuring their success abroad.

Coordinating with Partner Universities

Warlton maintains strong relationships with international partner institutions. You will collaborate with these universities to streamline admissions, strengthen partnerships, and ensure students gain access to top-tier global opportunities.

Supporting Recruitment Campaigns

You will contribute to student recruitment initiatives by engaging with prospective students, representing Warlton at educational fairs, and delivering presentations on study abroad programs. This ensures consistent growth in our international student community.

Managing Documentation and Administration

A crucial part of the role includes overseeing all admission-related documents, ensuring compliance with international standards, and maintaining accurate student records.


Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess both academic credentials and real-world experience in international education.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or a related field is essential, as it provides the theoretical foundation for advising students.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international education, admissions, or student support is required. This ensures familiarity with the challenges of global student mobility.
  • Proven track record in student counseling and recruitment demonstrates your ability to connect with students and guide them toward the right opportunities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for building trust with students and liaising with partner institutions worldwide.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities will help you manage multiple applications and student concerns simultaneously.
