Assistant Manager – Food Safety & Quality Assurance
About the Job
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Food Safety & Quality to help ensure our food products are safe and meet quality standards. You will manage lab testing, train staff, and make sure we follow health and safety rules. You’ll also take care of lab equipment, resources, and help improve quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Checks: Create and update quality plans and inspection methods.
- Lab Testing: Make sure lab tests are accurate and meet international standards (ISO/IEC17025).
- Staff Training: Teach factory staff about hygiene and good practices.
- Rules & Compliance: Follow required food quality and safety standards.
- Customer Complaints: Investigate complaints and find solutions.
- Health & Safety: Keep the team safe by following and improving safety rules.
- Lab Management: Improve lab systems and manage resources and budgets.
- Efficiency: Help labs work better by using staff and tools wisely.
What You Need:
- A degree in science
- At least 3 years of lab or food industry experience (dairy knowledge is a bonus)
- Good skills in lab testing and equipment handling
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC17025
- Good at solving problems and ensuring quality
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Power BI is a plus)
