The ideal candidate understands the importance of daily consistency in business operations and knows how to get work done without making unnecessary noise. If you are a person who believes that good management is rooted in clear communication, fairness, and accountability, this role will suit you well.

  • Maintain open lines of communication with all team members and address concerns promptly.

2. Operational Oversight

  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed across departments.
  • Monitor daily functions such as scheduling, resource allocation, and internal reporting.
  • Resolve operational issues independently or escalate them appropriately when needed.

3. Staff Supervision and Development

  • Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff members in your department.
  • Provide constructive feedback, track performance, and support career development where applicable.
  • Promote a work environment built on mutual respect, clear expectations, and reliable communication.

4. Customer Support and Issue Resolution

  • Respond to customer complaints, queries, or service-related concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Work closely with customer service or front office teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Keep accurate records of recurring issues and recommend ways to avoid them in the future.

5. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination (if applicable)

  • Monitor stock levels and procurement needs for your location or department.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Keep records of inventory movements, returns, and shortages.

6. Reporting and Recordkeeping

  • Maintain organized records of team performance, staff attendance, and other relevant data.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management on operational status, resource needs, and team performance.
  • Use these reports to help identify areas for improvement and suggest actionable steps.

7. Support to Senior Management

  • Carry out specific projects or assignments given by the General Manager or Operations Head.
  • Participate in regular management meetings and planning sessions.
  • Provide input based on direct team interactions and day-to-day challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of team dynamics, process improvement, and time management.
  • Practical experience with scheduling, reporting, and people supervision.
  • Fluent in English and Sinhala; Tamil fluency is an added advantage.
  • Competence in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Email), and comfort using internal management tools or platforms.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable – You show up, follow through, and keep your word.
  • Calm under pressure – You don’t panic when something goes wrong; instead, you assess and act.
  • Structured – You prefer to work with clear processes, timelines, and expectations.
  • Fair – You treat all staff with respect and hold everyone to the same reasonable standard.
  • Hands-on – You are not afraid to step in and help with basic tasks when needed.
  • Observant – You notice small issues before they grow into bigger ones.
  • Clear in communication – You don’t rely on jargon or vague promises; you say what needs to be said.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based in Kandy.
  • Working hours are generally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or after-hours work depending on the business cycle.
  • This role is primarily in-office, with occasional travel within the region for inspections, coordination, or staff support.
  • You will report directly to the Branch Manager or the Head of Operations.

What You Can Expect From Us

  • A clear set of responsibilities and fair expectations.
  • Support from senior managers to help you succeed in your role.
  • Regular feedback on performance and guidance for improvement.
  • A work environment that values consistency, honesty, and professionalism.
  • A practical, no-nonsense culture where results and behavior matter more than presentation or titles.

Who Should Apply

This role may be suitable for you if:

  • You’ve worked in a supervisory role and feel comfortable guiding small teams.
  • You understand the value of order, consistency, and documentation.
  • You prefer roles that are action-based and results-oriented, rather than overly promotional.
