Job Overview
We’re looking for a driven and personable Assistant Relationship Manager to support our SME clients in the Southern Region. This role involves managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored financial solutions to help our clients succeed. If you have a passion for finance, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of SME banking, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a quality portfolio of SME clients to meet growth targets.
- Identify and onboard new business clients while nurturing existing relationships.
- Analyze clients’ business operations and financials to prepare accurate credit appraisals.
- Collaborate with Credit and Risk Management teams to facilitate timely loan disbursements.
- Oversee post-disbursement processes, including documentation and compliance checks.
- Promote and cross-sell relevant financial products, including retail, liability, and payment solutions.
- Monitor account activity and client performance to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
- Stay updated on market developments, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Relationship Management, ideally in banking or financial services.
- At least 5 years in a senior relationship role or as an Assistant Relationship Manager.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and ratios.
- In-depth knowledge of banking and financial products.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- High computer literacy and comfort with digital tools.
Nice-to-Have:
- Diploma or professional qualification in Banking, Credit Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
