THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for the Food and Beverage Manager of Fox Kandy. The selected candidate should be an established figurehead with a clear vision of sustaining the hotel’s positioning as the most preferred hotel in Kandy for discerning guests, with the ability to run an efficient operation whilst upholding quality and safety standards that drive guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and train team members
- Achieve or exceed revenue targets whilst maintaining food cost according to budgets
- Identify changes in the external environment and make appropriate adjustments
- Coordinating with the kitchen to deliver the highest standard of service
- Purchase and control of inventory, negotiate with and build strong relationships with vendors
- Maintain a consistent focus on cleanliness throughout all areas, ensuring strict adherence to food, health and safety standards
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to promote the dining outlets and future events and promotions
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the similar capacity in a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Extremely efficient with mastery in planning, completing and delegating tasks to ensure their timely completion
- Communication and leadership skills
- Guest orientated and eager to delight customers
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic
- Environmentally minded with a passion to minimize food and supply waste
- Commitment to hygiene and safety measures to prevent both customer and workplace incidents
- Ability to spot and resolve problems
- Good command of English and Sinhala
