The Role and Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager – HR Operations and Analytics, you will be a central figure in ensuring that HR processes run seamlessly across the group’s subsidiaries. The role combines operational oversight with advanced HR analytics, making it essential to balance both attention to detail and big-picture thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Data Analytics: Prepare, analyze, and maintain workforce dashboards and reports to generate actionable insights for leadership. Your contribution will ensure that decisions across the group are backed by reliable data and trends.
- Performance Management: Oversee end-to-end performance management, from setting goals and conducting evaluations to driving development initiatives. You will help create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Policy and SOP Development: Review, develop, and implement HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that reinforce governance, fairness, and compliance across all subsidiaries.
- Core HR Operations: Manage the fundamentals of HR operations including maintaining employee records, coordinating payroll activities, and ensuring accuracy in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) administration.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all HR activities adhere to Sri Lankan labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal audit standards. Compliance will be a cornerstone of your role.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate critical employee touchpoints such as onboarding, offboarding, and documentation, ensuring a professional and seamless experience at every stage.
- Subsidiary Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for HR operations across subsidiaries, promoting alignment, knowledge-sharing, and service excellence throughout the group.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who bring both technical expertise and practical experience in HR operations and analytics.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in human resource management (HRM) or a recognized professional qualification in HRM is required. An MBA or postgraduate qualification in HRM will be considered an added advantage, demonstrating advanced business and leadership acumen.
- Experience: 4–5 years of progressive experience in HR operations, with hands-on exposure to HR data analytics and performance management. Candidates should be comfortable navigating both day-to-day operational tasks and strategic projects.
- Policy Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HR policy development, governance frameworks, and compliance practices. This ensures that processes not only run efficiently but also align with corporate and legal standards.
- Technology Skills: Familiarity with HRIS platforms and digital HR tools is essential, as the role requires optimizing systems for accuracy and efficiency.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and documentation abilities, paired with excellent communication skills. The ability to handle confidential information responsibly and manage diverse stakeholder needs will be vital.
